Comfort for budding atheists (Ray Comfort that is)

Ray Comfort has been aptly dubbed “The Grandmaster of Christian Ignorance”. Here are a few choice samples of his utter idocy.
If you would like to see the expanded version, go to his blog, Atheist Central, and look on the right side of the page a little ways down.
• If God didn’t exist, the atheist wouldn’t have something to not believe in.
• An atheist is someone who believes that nothing made everything.
• An atheist is someone who pretends that there is no God.
• The human propensity to gullibility is evidenced by evolution’s many believers.
• It is impossible for a Christian to convert to atheism because a Christian is someone who knows God.
• We have men who call themselves scientists, when they should have instead got a job with Disney as “imagineers.”
• School children should have evolution explained to them, so that they can see how unscientific and crazy it is.

That first one is an argument for EVERYTHING.
If Santa Claus didn’t exist, then disbelievers in Santa Claus wouldn’t have anything not to believe in.
If Shangrila didn’t exist, then disbelievers in Shangrila wouldn’t have anything not to believe in.
DUMB!!!

I agree. They should explain this to every child in all its scientific glory.

Well, crap. He just proved the existence of everything, so now I’m going to have carry around silver bullets, garlic and butter
(to slather myself in so Cthulu will eat me first).

The rest of the text on that page isn’t much better. A particularly striking piece of stupidity is that his counter of people who have died has a decimal place! Number of people who have died since opening this web page… 62.6

That 0.6 dude is dying as you sit there. Have a little respect for those about to die.

I wish he had a birth counter, so that Christians could see how many people they have to save each day.

There are no religious phenomena at all, but only a religious interpretation of phenomena.

yeah that dude positively wallows in ignorance. What really goads me is the number of atheists that post on his blog that don’t realize that no matter how much you point out his obvious logical flaws he never gets them, and so they keep pointing out the same old shit and it simply keeps up the traffic.

Oh, Ray. Ray, Ray, Ray. This guy is so easy to topple. “Why do you know God exists?” “I just know!” “Why?” “Because I know!”
His “Good Person” test has been repeated by 12 year olds. It’s so sad, yet so “respected” in many Christian circles.

PS. We had a fun time challenging him in Huntington Beach, so much so that we caught it on video and stuck it on our blog. If you live in SoCal, take a trip, it will be worth your while!

Ummmm, Ray… I’d like to challenge you here… I was a Pastor… studied in a Bible College… read the Bible forwards, backwards and inside out… and after rejecting it and your god and banana fir a lack of evidence…. determine that YOU sir, are an idiot without any real scientific training

Ray seems to misunderstand the most basic ideas in biology, it gives me hope that if he is as smart as he always alludes to being that one day he would have this aw ha moment and finally understand what the evidence for common descent actually is. And then somehow I lose that hope, because this guy has put himself so far out there that I can’t imagine he could ever admit he had been wrong for so long. His kids might see the light, but he will basically go all sprouting all this nonsense until he dies, even if the rest of the world with less invested will find him increasing irrelevant.
